STEP BY STEP: UV GEL POLISH APPLICATION
Is this your first time applying a UV gel polish? Take a look at the step-by-step application guide, to see why it is not so hard.
STEP 1
Nail plate prep – shape your nails using a Semilac file. Mattify the nail plate with the Semilac Quality polishing block, and remove the dust using a soft brush. After removing the dust, degrease the nail plate with a cotton pad moistened with the Semilac Nail Cleaner. If necessary, apply an acid-free primer to improve nail polish adhesion. Wait a few seconds for the primer to evaporate.
STEP 2
Apply a thin layer of any Semilac base coat over the entire nail plate and remember to secure the free edge of the nail. Cure the nails under a lamp. Pay attention to the curing time of the product, which depends on the type of base coat and the lamp used. You can find out more about curing by searching for the product at semilac.pl
STEP 3
Apply the first, thin layer of the selected colour of Semilac nail polish, and remember to secure the free edge. Cure the nail polish under a lamp. After curing, apply another thin layer of the nail polish to highlight the colour, and cure it again under the lamp. Curing time depends on the type of lamp and the Semilac UV gel polish used.
STEP 4
Apply any top coat on a properly cured layer of Semilac UV gel polish, securing the free edge, and cure it under a lamp. When using the Semilac Top or Semilac Top Mat, you should remove the dispersion layer with a dust-free cotton pad moistened with the Semilac Nail Cleaner. HOW TO REMOVE A UV GEL MANICURE
STEP BY STEP: UV GEL MANICURE REMOVAL
When new nail growth appears on your nails, it’s time to remove your UV gel manicure. What do you need to do? Here are some tips.
STEP 1
Gently mattify the outer manicure layer with the Semilac Quality polishing block or 100/180 Semilac Quality straight file.
STEP 2
Moisten the Semilac Remover Wraps with the Semilac acetone or the Semilac Remover solution. Wrap each finger tightly in foil and wait about 10–15 minutes.
STEP 3
When the UV gel polish is soft, gently remove it with a wooden stick or the Semilac Pusher. Finally, even out the nail plate with the Semilac Quality polishing block.
